We have that question asked to us all the time. What is the difference?
There's not much to say, as these photos should answer most of your questions!
Royal sized standard poodles are thicker, heavier, have larger feet, chest and bone structure than the normal sized standard poodles. While both sizes are just as smart and have great temperments, the Royal sized poodle is just a 'thicker' dog.
If you are looking for a Giant Poodle, (pony sized) then we have what you are looking for.
Above - two females. Normal sized standard and a Royal. The Royal pictured above is our Darcy.
Below - female normal sized standard and our Reuben, Royal sized male. Wow. :) Impressive. Reminds us of Beauty and the Beast!
Toooo funny. Poodles are, hands-down, the best dogs out there! ...if only they could talk.
Here are a couple photos of two male puppies. They were born 18 days apart. The puppy on the left is a 'Standard Poodle'. the puppy on the right is a "Royal Standard Poodle' from Cedar. Rusty was the father of both puppies. What a difference!
